Mansfield, OH (May 28, 2024) — The Ready for Hire program in Richland County is partnering with Richland Newhope and Richland Newhope Industries to offer a five-week program for high school students to learn job readiness skills.
During the comprehensive five-week program, high school students will receive career readiness training, job interview preparation, and practice, along with opportunities for career exploration and resume development. Additionally, they will have the chance to volunteer, learn about community transportation and resources, participate in interest surveys, and develop self-advocacy skills, all of which will significantly enhance their job readiness.
As part of the program, local businesses Major Metals and Enman Stamping will open their doors to students, offering tours of their facilities. This unique opportunity will not only educate students about job opportunities and careers in manufacturing but also foster a sense of community and local pride. In addition, students will have the chance to explore the Mansfield Public Library and the Kingwood Center through field trips, further enriching their learning experience.
